Katherine Gustafson

Chief Research Officer

Ms. Gustafson brings over 25 years of practical, world-class market research experience to her role as the fractional Chief Research Officer at Dental Research Specialists. Her expertise spans both B2B and B2C markets, having led initiatives for several Fortune 20 companies across a wide range of customer segments.

Her career began in the market research industry in 1993 and includes senior leadership roles at Kantar, Harris Interactive, MarketTools, and MSG. In 2018, she transitioned to the client side as Cargill’s Global Voice of the Customer Advisor/Director, further deepening her understanding of actionable insights from the client perspective.

Ms. Gustafson has helped organizations such as J&J, Novo Nordisk, 3M, Solmetex, and OraBio uncover strategic pathways to growth. While at MarketTools, she led the global General Mills team with a focus on product innovation and concept screening. At Harris Interactive, she spearheaded customer experience initiatives within the Healthcare division, concentrating on salesforce effectiveness and patient journey mapping.

During her time at Kantar, she specialized in B2B clients and consumer durables, earning multiple industry awards for her work in data integration and driving insights for impact.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and gardening.
